Kevin Tecson is a 28-year-old Singer from The Queen City of the South, Cebu City. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management at the University of San Jose Recoletos. (Scroll down for contact information)
He is a singer and a performer. Kevin started singing at the age of 13, He started by joining amateur singing contests, After 7 years of competing in the amateur singing contests, in 2016, Kevin joined one of the national singing competitions in ABS-CBN’s Tawag ng Tanghalan of It’s Showtime, where he represented the Visayas and Cebu and where he sang “Yakap sa Dilim” by Orange and Lemons.
A year after joining Tawag ng Tanghalan Kevin joined one of the biggest competitions in Cebu, The Sinulog Idol 2017 Season 8, in which he was part of the Top 12 Finalist with him is Yumae Baring, Bob Miranda, Mitsuko Cabillada, Aian Uba, Dave Alcano, Mary Jane Adolfo, Jan Echavarria, Justine Narvios, Kristal Dianon, Jade Alia and Reuben Virtucio. The competition was was directed by Eli Manlangit along with Gani Villarojo, Gloria Villarojo, Roland Villarosa, Vinz Daitol. The contestants were mentored Apple Abarquez, Ryan Mark Borinaga, and the late +Jay Unchuan.
During this year he was given a chance to perform in different events and started his career as a Freelance Event Singer while he was still at school. He earned his own money doing this which helped him for his school expenses. He sang in various events like Weddings, Debut, Pageants, etc.
In the following year Kevin started a new venture; he debuted his first act in the theater with 2Tincans as an ensemble in Scharon Mani “The Musical”. Which was directed by Sarah Mae Enclona – Henderson.
In 2019, Kevin was given the opportunity to perform in the 500th year of Christianity in the Philippines. The Philippine Quincentennial Commemoration of the Philippines theater play. Where he was part of the Main Cast and Singer. During this year Kevin was able to record the song “Taboan” for Mangayaw Album Along with him were Chalie Sumalinog and Mitchtheld Marie Montehermoso with the brilliant composer and arranger Jem Talaroc and Odoni Pestelos, which is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and on different music platforms.
Recently Kevin was able to perform in Taylor Swift Impersonator “Taylor Shiteh” when she had her performance in SM City Cebu, Kevin was given a chance to perform in front of the Swifties crowd which was directed John Michael Remollo, the Production Head of JMR-Productions
Kevin finished as the 2nd Runner-Up of Balakwit – Indigay Sa Awit last February 17, 2024 Lastly, Kevin was given another great oppurtunity to perform and Serenade the lovely candidates of Miss Basdiot 2024 last April which was directed by the SK Chairman himself Honorable Paul Kevin Pocong.
