How did you get into pageantry? What made you want to compete?
Hannefah: This is my first pageant. The support of my family, friends, and colleagues has been unwavering, and I am deeply thankful for their encouragement and belief in me. As I step into this new chapter of my career, I carry with me the confidence and faith driving to strive for excellence and success. I believe competing in pageantry offers a platform to showcase not just outer beauty, but inner grace, intelligence, and talent. It’s an opportunity to empower oneself, inspire others, and advocate for causes close to the heart.
What does beauty mean to you? It’s more than just looks, right?
Hannefah: In essence, beauty lies not just in how we look but in how we live our lives with purpose, integrity and love. Imagine a world where beauty is measured not by the symmetry of our features, but by the depth of our souls. It’s in the laughter lines etched by joy, the scars that tell stories of survival, and the warmth of a genuine smile. True beauty isn’t confined to a flawless complexion or a perfect figure; it’s found in the kindness of our words, the strength of our character, and the compassion we extend to others. Let’s redefine beauty as a reflection of our inner light, our resilience, and our capacity to love without limits.
What makes you special? What sets you apart from the other contestants?
Hannefah: Every one of us has a unique and amazing personality that makes us special. It’s the way I navigate the world with my individuality, my passions, and my ability to connect with others on a deeper level.
What sets me apart from other candidates is not just my skills or achievements, but the unique blend of qualities that make me who I am. It’s my steadfast determination to overcome obstacles, my ability to empathize and connect with people from all walks of life, and my commitment to making a positive difference in the world. I bring to the table a fresh perspective, a genuine passion for serving others, and an authentic desire to uplift those around me. I believe that my authenticity, resilience, and dedication distinguish me in this competition, and I am ready to showcase the qualities that make me truly special.
If you win, how would you use your title to help others?
Hannefah: If I were to win this competition, I see it as an incredible opportunity to amplify my impact and serve others. With the title bestowed upon me, I would use my platform to advocate for causes close to my heart, I would strive to inspire and uplift others, using my voice and influence to spark positive change in the world. From organizing charitable events to collaborating with organizations dedicated to social good, I am committed to using my title not just as a symbol of achievement, but as a catalyst for meaningful impact and transformation in the lives of others.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve learned from being in pageants?
Hannefah: The coolest thing I’ve learned from being one of the finalists in Queen Mother of Cebu 2024 is that I found friendship among with my co-candidates slash my co-mommies. From knowing them I’ve learned that we should not compare our obstacles with other people because as what Robin Williams once said “Everyone you meet is fighting a battle and you know nothing about it. Be kind always”
How do you deal with people who might say mean things?
Hannefah: When faced with people who consistently say mean things, it’s essential to respond with grace and resilience. Instead of letting their negativity affect us, we can choose to rise above it. By staying calm, setting boundaries, and focusing on positivity, we can disarm their hurtful words. Surrounding ourselves with supportive individuals and practicing self-care also helps build resilience against negativity. Ultimately, our response to mean-spirited comments defines our character, and by choosing kindness and self-respect, we maintain our dignity while deterring further negativity.
Tell us about a time something amazing happened during a pageant!
Hannefah: For me, the amazing things happen during the pageant I am fortunate to be surrounded by individuals who share a different approach. While we all aspire to reach the top, we understand that kindness and respect are not just virtues but essential components of our journey. Instead of tearing each other down in the race to the top, we uplift and support one another, recognizing that true success is measured not only by achievements but also by the positive impact we have on each other’s lives.
What kind of person do you think does well in pageants?
Hannefah: In the world of pageantry, success isn’t just about outer beauty; it’s about inner strength, charisma, and authenticity. The individuals who truly shine in pageants are those who radiate confidence from within, who embrace their uniqueness, and who use their platform to make a positive impact. In essence, the person who excels in pageants is someone who embodies beauty, not just in appearance, but in character, and who empowers others to do the same.
Being in a pageant means a lot of people are watching. How do you stay yourself through it all?
Hannefah: In pageantry, all eyes are on you, but staying true to yourself is key. Amidst the spotlight, remember your values, stay grounded, and surround yourself with supportive people. By staying authentic and humble, you can shine brightly while staying true to who you are.
What do you dream of doing in the future, pageant world or not?
Hannefah: Life is full of surprises, and none of us can predict what lies ahead. The future is uncertain, like a blank canvas waiting to be painted. All we can do is embrace the journey and face whatever comes our way with courage and resilience. As this pageant is my first time. I would say this journey has been a memorable one.
