I’m Jay Tolentino, solo indie singer-songwriter. I play acoustic guitar, keyboard and drums.

When did you form your band? Did you know each other beforehand?

I started to publish my songs in 2017. Naalala ko nag start muna ako sa FB Page. Doon ako nag share ng aking mga original song. Until i open up a Youtube Channel. Then after 2 years nailagay ko din ang mga song ko sa Spotify at sa lahat ng mga digital music platform.

A simple love song with good guitar picks. Easy to like

Who writes the music?

I am the one who writes the make music sa mga song ko. But recently nakikipag collab din ako sa ibang mga songwriters na kaibigan ko.

Where do you draw your inspiration from for your songs?

Most of my songs are related talaga sa akin. But there are times din naman na kinukuha ko ang inspiration sa mga pangyayari ng mga taong nakapaligid sa akin.

Are you performing live and where can people see you?

Yes, there are times na I perform my song in live audience if na invite ako to do so.

For me it really helps that I am doing this as a solo artist. I can express my ideas freely when it comes to my songwriting. Dahil ako ay isa ding OFW/Seafarer. Hindi ako na pressure dahil I am doing this on my own and ang disadvantage naman para sakin sa ngayon if I were in the band ay palagi akong malayo at I think it will not work para sa amin. That is why it is better for me to pursue my music career alone.

But even though I am far away. I also make sure na active pa din ako sa pag gawa ng song at active din sa indie music scene
