Jeana is representing Cebu South, Asturias. She is candidate #24 in the Queen Mother of Cebu 2024 pageant.
How did you get into pageantry? What made you want to compete?
Jeana: I’m a big fan of pageants like Miss Universe, so I joined one to gain experience as a candidate and understand how it feels.
What does beauty mean to you? Is it more than just looks?
Jeana: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is useless if you have a bad personality, so it’s better to be beautiful inside and out than just physically.
What makes you special? What sets you apart from the other contestants?
Jeana: I have my unique beauty and a strong personality.
If you win, how would you use your title to help others?
Jeana: I will use my title to encourage all mothers or everyone to take their health seriously, even if they don’t feel any symptoms, they should still have regular checkups because health is wealth. Self-love is my advocacy and it should start with health.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve learned from being in pageants?
Jeana: My confidence was boosted. I did a lot of things that I thought I couldn’t do, but I actually did them. Like during press conferences, I’m proud of myself.
How do you deal with people who might say mean things?
Jeana: Just ignore and pray that they’ll be enlightened
Tell us about a time something amazing happened during a pageant!
Jeana: I was amazed because I really didn’t expect to receive an award. I became an Ambassador for Alleycat. It was my first time joining a pageant and I received an award right away
What kind of person do you think does well in pageants?
Jeana: Intelligent, competitive, confident, and most of all, God-fearing like me.
Being in a pageant means a lot of people are watching. How do you stay yourself through it all?
Jeana: I will not succumb to pressure. Just enjoy, go with the flow, win or lose, just be happy.
What do you dream of doing in the future, pageant world or not?
Jeana: To be honest, I don’t have any idea. All I know is, for now, I’m just enjoying my life. Being a cancer survivor is not easy, that’s why I treasure my life and fill it with positive thoughts.
