Pageant King: Luke Henry Savior

I am Luke Henry Savior, 21, 5’9″ in height. I am studying Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Cebu Banilad. I am a model, pageant enthusiast, and I was one of the representatives at the 2023 Biology Olympiad at the University of San Carlos Senior High School. I was a student athlete during my high school years, and I love to play basketball and swim. My advocacy is all about sustainable tourism, which conserves the beauty, ecosystem, and biodiversity of tourist destinations in our landscape and world today.

Interview Questions:

What is your biggest strength, and how has it helped you in your life?

My biggest strength is that when problems and challenges arise, I don’t give up easily in pursuing my dreams.

What is one thing you wish you could change about yourself, and why?

That’s a thoughtful choice. Comparing ourselves to others can indeed detract from appreciating our own journey and achievements.

What has been your biggest failure, and what did you learn from it?

My biggest failure was probably procrastinating on a project until the last minute, which resulted in a subpar outcome. I learned the importance of time management and breaking tasks into smaller, manageable chunks to avoid overwhelming myself.

How do you manage stress and stay focused during challenging times?

To manage stress and stay focused during challenging times, I rely on techniques like prioritizing tasks, taking breaks, practicing mindfulness or meditation, and seeking support from friends or mentors.

How do you define success, and what are your goals to achieve it?

Success, for me, is about achieving a balance between personal fulfillment, meaningful relationships, and contributing positively to the world around me. My goal is to continuously learn, grow, and make a positive impact on others’ lives.

What is your favorite quote, and why does it resonate with you?

One of my favorite quotes is “The only way to do great work is to love what you do” by Steve Jobs. It resonates with me because it emphasizes the importance of passion and enjoyment in one’s work, which leads to excellence and fulfillment.

What is one thing you have done that you are most proud of, and why?

I am most proud of overcoming a fear of public speaking by taking opportunities to practice and improve. It boosted my confidence and opened doors to new experiences and connections.

What is your biggest fear, and how do you overcome it?

My biggest fear is probably failure, but I try to overcome it by reframing failures as learning experiences, focusing on progress rather than perfection, and seeking support and feedback from others.

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance?

I maintain a healthy work-life balance by setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care activities, delegating tasks when possible, and making time for hobbies, family, and friends.

What is one thing you want to achieve in the next five years, and how do you plan to make it happen?

In the next five years, I want to achieve mastery in a particular skill or field. I plan to make it happen by setting clear goals, seeking relevant education or training, seeking mentorship, and dedicating consistent effort and practice. We are all stewards and ambassadors of sustainability, which is why we are accountable and responsible for supporting the efforts to save, care for, and protect the ecosystem for the best of our Mother Earth.
