Have your ever looked at yourself in the mirror recently and thought, “I pictured I’d be somewhere better by now.”
I did today, and to be perfectly honest I might have spent an hour or two crying in the shower, wondering where all my potential and momentum went.
But then I got out, got dressed, went to work, and managed to do everything I was meant to do for the rest of the day.
How did I do that despite my not so mini breakdown earlier?
Well, it’s because I trust the timing.
I understand that some things in life fall into place in their right time, and try as I might I actually don’t have any power to speed it up.
Some things, no matter how much I want them, are out of my control. And there is no sense in obsessing and stressing about when or how I will get them – I just have to trust that I will. That it will happen in time.
Of course that’s not to say that I just sit on my bum all day waiting for things to happen for me. I try my best everyday. I take little steps to get closer to my goals. I always find ways to be a little better, to be a little stronger. I might not be where I want to be yet, but doing this ensures that I am not stuck and that there’s always some kind of growth that I can look forward to.
Trust the timing – but always remember to keep moving forward.
Good luck 🙂
