Elite Ms Southern States Petite 2025: Victoria L. Perez

What does beauty mean to you, and how do you see it in others?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  To me, beauty is a profound and multifaceted concept that transcends physical appearance. It’s a radiant beacon of light and hope that shines from within, manifesting in diverse forms, shapes, and colors. When I see beauty in others, I notice the spark of greatness that makes them unique – it’s a quality that goes beyond the surface level and speaks to the depth of their character. Ultimately, beauty is subjective, yet its impact is universally felt, reminding us that true beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

If you could give one message to young girls growing up today, what would it be?

Sweethearts! If I could give one message to young girls growing up today, it’d be this: Believe in yourself, darling! You are strong, capable, and worthy of achieving your wildest dreams. Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle or make you feel like you’re not enough. You are enough, just as you are. Your uniqueness is your superpower, and your voice matters. So go ahead, take risks, try new things, and never be afraid to be yourself. Remember the words of my pageant sisters and me: we’re not just queens, we’re leaders, we’re role models, and we’re game-changers. You got this, girl! Own your beauty, inside and out, and never let anyone or anything bring you down. You’re a queen, and it’s time to reign supreme!

How do you balance self-confidence with humility?

I’m all about embracing my confidence while staying humble. I know my strengths, and I’m not afraid to show them off!  But I also believe in lifting others up and celebrating their wins. My Queens Giving initiative and work with Metropolitan Ministries remind me daily of the importance of staying grounded and serving my community.  I’m a work in progress, and I’m okay with that. I’m focused on growing, learning, and spreading positivity wherever I go. 💖 I’m excited to share my journey with my sisters and inspire others to do the same. Let’s shine together, ladies! 💫 We’re more than our wins, and our true beauty lies in our ability to lift each other up and celebrate our collective successes.  By acknowledging our accomplishments, staying humble, focusing on growth, and practicing self-care, we can become the best versions of ourselves and make a real difference in our communities.

Here are some examples:

1️⃣ Acknowledge your accomplishments, but don’t let them define you: “I’m all about embracing my confidence while staying humble.”

2️⃣ Stay humble by lifting others up: “I believe in lifting others up and celebrating their wins… serving my community.”

3️⃣ Focus on growth, not perfection: “I’m a work in progress, and I’m okay with that. I’m focused on growing, learning…”

4️⃣ Practice self-care and self-compassion: Implicit in “spreading positivity wherever I go” and “treating ourselves with kindness” is reflected in the overall tone.

In a world that often promotes external perfection, how do you maintain inner peace?

“In a world obsessed with projecting flawlessness, I’ve discovered that true serenity stems from within. For me, inner peace is found in the simple yet profound acts of serving others, nurturing my family bonds, and embracing the camaraderie of my sisterhood. By shifting focus from external validation to the joy of giving and connecting, I’ve cultivated a sense of calm and contentment that transcends the pressures of perfection. Through community service, quality time with loved ones, and supportive relationships, I’ve learned to prioritize what truly matters – fostering a sense of purpose, empathy, and love that radiates from within.”

What personal quality are you most proud of, and how has it shaped your life?

As I reflect on my journey, I’m reminded of the many proud moments I’ve accumulated over the years. At 53, I’ve been blessed to experience life’s ups and downs, and I’m grateful for the lessons learned. From being a devoted mom to my four sons, to navigating life as a widow, and now, as I pursue my passion for pageantry and giving back to my community through Queens Giving and Metropolitan Ministries, I’ve come to realize that my resilience and determination are the qualities I’m most proud of. These traits have not only helped me overcome challenges but have also inspired me to pay it forward, whether through volunteering or my upcoming toy and food drive. Being part of the Elite Ms Southern States Petite USA 2025 pageant has given me a platform to showcase my passions and inspire others, and I’m excited to see how my journey will continue to unfold.

If you had one year and unlimited resources to help your community, what would you do?

It’s like winning the lottery and having unlimited resources, I wouldn’t waste a single moment!  I’d create a lasting legacy that inspires the world and changes lives. Here’s what I’d do:

Establish Queens Giving, a foundation dedicated to supporting families in need, just like Me
