Beauty Queen: Ashley Mae Allego

The beautiful Ashley is a nineteen-year-old candidate in the Binibining Tuburan beauty pageant and a budding pageant star. She has the face of an angel and we look forward to updating her bio with many pageant successes.

So, how did you get into pageantry? What made you want to compete?

I joined pageantry because it’s been my dream since I was a little kid. Now that I’m a woman, I’m here with a purpose. I want to use my voice to inspire and empower other people through this platform.

What does beauty mean to you? It’s more than just looks, right?

Some people think beauty is solely based on physical appearance, like having a perfect body and face. But for me, beauty comes from within – it’s about what’s inside your heart and being able to empower other people, especially women.

What makes you special? What sets you apart from the other contestants?

All the candidates have different strengths and weaknesses. As for me, I am a woman with a purpose who embodies strength and confidence. I have the strength to face challenges with courage and determination, and I’m confident in using my voice to address social issues and empower women.

If you win, how would you use your title to help others?

Being “Binibining Tuburan” is a great honor and responsibility. If I win, I’ll use this platform to better my community as an advocate for farmers’ rights and sustainable environment practices. I’ll create a support system for farmers and initiate programs to protect and sustain the beauty of Tuburan, such as educating the community on proper waste disposal and promoting sustainability. As a beauty queen, I believe we are ambassadors of change, and through my advocacy, I’ll make a positive impact on my community.

What’s the coolest thing you’ve learned from being in pageants?

I’ve learned to believe in myself and not question my potential. Despite being bullied online for being a substitute candidate, I’ve learned to believe in my abilities and not give up on my dreams. I face challenges with courage and determination, and I believe my story can inspire other women facing similar challenges.

How do you deal with people who might say mean things?

I take it as constructive criticism to improve. Yes, I’m not perfect, but I’m trying my best to improve because I know there’s always room for growth.

Tell us about a time something amazing happened during a pageant!

I didn’t make it to the top 12 official candidates for Binibining Tuburan. I was ranked no. 13, but one day I got a call to be the substitute for a candidate who backed out. For me, it was a miracle. While I felt sorry for the candidate, it was a blessing. I learned to trust in God’s timing, and this is something I want to share with every woman who wants to join pageantry – believe in God’s timing and in yourself.

What kind of person do you think does well in pageants?

Someone who uses their voice to inspire and uplift others. Pageantry isn’t just about having a pretty face and a perfect body – it’s about having a purpose and empowering others, especially women, through advocacy.

Being in a pageant means a lot of people are watching. How do you stay yourself through it all?

By believing in myself and putting God at the center of my journey. Despite the challenges and ups and downs, I believe in myself and know that I can achieve my goals. I am more than how people define me, and God is always there to guide me.

What do you dream of doing in the future, pageant world or not?

Once you become a beauty queen, there’s always a part of that essence that remains. Whether in the pageant world or not, I’ll continue to use my voice to help, inspire, and empower people because it’s a part of who I am.
